Greenacres

Photo: Green Acres Cottages

Walk into Greenacres and you're in a substantial family house with room to spread across two floors. The ground floor opens into a living room and separate dining space, with a kitchen equipped for serious cooking—range cooker, American-style fridge, microwave—plus utility facilities. Two bedrooms are here: one with a kingsize bed, one with a bunk (double below, single above) and table football. Both have access to a bathroom with a bath and a separate shower room. Upstairs, four more bedrooms each come with an ensuite shower room. Two have kingsize beds, two have pairs of single beds (one also includes bunk beds). Electricity, bed linen and towels are included; heating keeps things comfortable.

The house sits in countryside near Par, with views across valleys toward the sea. There's a hot tub in the rear garden, parking for three cars on site, and room for a cot or highchair if needed. One well-behaved pet can stay free. The coastal setting means beaches, coves and rock pools are within easy reach—Harlyn Bay is about five miles away. Bodmin Moor, Padstow's seafood restaurants, Newquay's water sports and the Eden Project are all accessible day trips. Smoking is not permitted inside.

Lovely area with lots of space, accommodation is clean and dog friendly with lovely enclosed private gardens for each accommodation. Great facilities, if I was to add anything I would say paint needs a bit of TLC on the stairs but overall really quiet and great all round. Lovely clean pool, we had it to ourselves

Incredible break. We stayed as a family of four and were blown away by the amenities. The pool is fantastic, only a few metres away from your front door, warm and maintained well. Could not get my daughter out of it. The cottage was spotless and comfortable with underfloor heating and all instructions provided for everything you need. Lots of leaflets in reception to see what is available locally, ample parking and local shops and pubs a short drive away. Easy access to Eden Project, Bodmin Jail, the Camel Trail, St Austell and Par beach. Views are amazing. Unfortunately the playground was closed for our stay, which was disappointing as it was one of the things my daughter was looking forward to, and they should supply a tiny bottle of washing up liquid as glasses need handwashing, but these are minor gripes indeed! Recommend to anyone wanting a fun family break with nature on your doorstep, absolutely brilliant hosts.

Would recommend! We came with our 4 kids and 2 dogs! Love how homely it feels! Love the fact that there was a pool! Our children loved it in there. (Photos where taken as we were leaving hence the beds being stripped) But as you can see from the photos the cottage is beautiful and homely inside! The only thing I would say that needs a little attention, is the missing tiles on the pool. My daughter scrapped her self on them, I also caught my leg on them too. The pool is very clean though.
