Built into mature gardens that span three acres, Gwel an lowarth sits within grounds now closed to public access. Twelve wooden steps lead to the entrance of this single-storey property, where everything unfolds across one floor: a combined living and dining space with a half-moon window, a bedroom with a double bed, a kitchen equipped to prepare meals, and a bathroom with bath and shower. The setting brings you close to native wildlife—deer, foxes, buzzards and woodpeckers move through the grounds—and the gardens themselves overflow with established plants and shrubs.
You have a private decking area where you can sit with views into the gardens, and parking for one car on site. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are included. The property is one of several on the grounds but entirely private to you. Smoking is not permitted.
Par Beach lies roughly three miles away, backed by cliffs and the distinctive China clay works that give this stretch of coast its industrial character. The railway line between Par and Newquay passes nearby. Lostwithiel and St Austell are within easy reach for supplies and further exploration.
