Bodmin Moor is on your doorstep at Hallagenna Cottages – Delphy, a ground-floor property in St Breward with its own entrance to the moor for walking, hiking, or simply standing still to take in the view. The Camel Trail, a 18-mile route for cycling or walking, is a five-minute drive away. A pub serving dinner sits within a mile, and horse riding can be arranged virtually from where you stand; the stables are opposite. The Cornish coast, with villages like Port Isaac and Padstow, is also within reach.
The cottage sleeps four across a double bedroom, a single room with a pull-out single bed, and a bathroom with bath and shower. The open-plan ground floor contains a living area with Freeview TV and DVD player, a separate dining space, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking – electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer. There is also a utility room with washer-dryer. A small enclosed courtyard garden with seating and a barbecue opens from the property. One parking space is allocated on site. Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are provided; the property uses a natural water supply from a borehole. One dog is welcome and stays free. No smoking.
The five-acre estate keeps miniature pigs, chickens and horses; ponies, cattle and sheep graze the adjacent moor. The landscape draws in other wildlife too. This is a setting for anyone wanting moorland on tap, with proper countryside around you.

Perfect hosts with a lovely cream tea welcome. Rooms and bedding spotless, found everything we needed in the kitchen. Scenery and wildlife on the doorstep. Would heartily recommend. Denise

I think I've gone to heaven. Janine and Mick were wonderful hosts. They were happy to assist with any questions we had but left us to discover their beautiful area. The old barn cottage was clean, and our beds were very comfortable with beautiful bed linen. Make sure you pop into the local community store, about a 4 minute drive, and collect all your food staples. It may be small, but it's got everything you need, even sweet ladies to greet you, and have a friendly chat with. Just lovely ❤️

Stayed here from 16th Aug to 22nd Aug 2024 with friends. Lovely location, clean and everything you will need. Nothing to much trouble the owners were there. 20 minutes walk to village pub. Nice & friendly great pub menu & awesome Sunday lunch. Booking is a must. On the edge of the moors, I booked so l could use my 60th birthday treat. Went flying at the local airport on Saturday over the coast. Place is central to other attractions, either 30 minutes to 1 hour. Booked a riding lesson while there. Which is on site. Jenny, the owner, was a lovely instructor & her team was brilliant. Definitely recommend staying here. I will go back as so much to see & do. The only downside was the single bed. I'm used to a king-size bed. 😂

Lovely, homely and clean cottage. The area is beautiful, direct access to the Moor. Janine and Mick (and the rest of their family) are all very welcoming and friendly, to us and our dog who enjoyed every minute of his stay! Will definitely be back. Highly recommend Hallagenna Cottages.
