Haven Cottage

Haven Cottage comes ready for cooking and comfort. The kitchen has an electric Aga, microwave, oven, grill, fridge and dishwasher, so you can prepare proper meals. Downstairs is an open-plan living space with an open fire, Freeview TV and DVD player. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a double bed and TV, one with bunks—and a shower room. Electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are included; fuel for the fire is available locally. There's no smoking in the property.

The cottage sits in Port Isaac village itself, just 50 yards from the seafront and near several pubs. Nicki B's Pasty Shop is among the nearby businesses. The village is tiny with no central parking, but a car park lies 500 yards away. The coast path is accessible from here, and beaches at Rock and Polzeath are close enough for a day out. Port Isaac has restaurants and a working harbour where the Fisherman's Friends perform live on summer Friday evenings.

We loved staying at Haven cottage. Freshly decorated and pristinely clean, the owners had clearly thought of everything you might need for a really comfortable stay in the centre of Port Isaac. We couldn’t fault the decor, the amenities or the location. Will definitely visit again.

It's like being a movie star when you get to bang your head on the same frame as Doc Martin. The only downside was that other tourists come to the door and if it's open, take pictures. So leave your dirty laundry upstairs. The location is absolutely fantastic. Less than a hundred meters to the harbor.
