Higher Trewithen/The Dairy

The Dairy is a restored barn conversion on a 4-acre rural estate in Cornwall, where woodland, gardens and pasture surround the property. It's one of seven buildings on the site, each independently let. The ground floor holds a living and dining area with television, DVD player and sound system; the kitchen is equipped for proper cooking. Upstairs are two bedrooms—the first has a zip-and-link bed that converts between a super king and two singles, the second contains two single beds. The bathroom combines bath and shower. Bed linen, towels and electricity are included; heating is by electric central system. There is private parking for two cars on site, and the property welcomes one pet.

The conversion opens via a step up into the main living space. Families with young children will find a travel cot, highchair and stairgate available. The rural setting puts you close to walks—Stithians Lake is within reach for a 5-mile circuit—and Kennall Vale Nature Reserve, a former gunpowder works now managed for wildlife, lies 2 miles away. Truro, with its restaurants, bars and shops, is accessible for days out. The property is non-smoking throughout.
