Hillside

Helston sits inland from one of Cornwall's long sandy beaches. Hillside occupies a slope above Praa Sands, with views across the water and out towards Mount Bay. The beach itself—lifeguarded in summer and popular with swimmers and surfers—lies a short walk away via a shared footpath. From here the Cornish Coastal path continues in both directions, and moorland, granite headlands and rolling countryside stretch inland for those who want to walk without the seaside crowds.

The cottage holds three bedrooms and two bathrooms across two floors, sleeping six. Downstairs there is a living room with television and a separate dining room, a kitchen with electric cooking and a dishwasher, and a utility room with washing machine. A sun room and shower room complete the ground floor, though note that 30 steep steps lead up to the entrance. Upstairs, the first floor contains the bedrooms (a double and two rooms with single beds, plus a bunk room) and another shower room with a separate toilet. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all covered. The property has its own parking for two cars and a small enclosed front garden with decking. No smoking inside.

Nearby shops and a pub are a quarter-mile away; restaurants begin at about a mile. The Cadgwith Cove Inn is close by. Larger towns—Penzance with its lido and promenade, Porthleven with its harbourside restaurants—are within reach for a day out.
