Petroc

St Mawes sits on the tip of a peninsula facing the Carrick Roads estuary, where sailing boats and waterside activity fill the view across the water. Petroc is positioned centrally in the village, close enough to reach the waterfront on foot but set back enough to offer peace. The property sleeps six across three bedrooms: two with king beds and one with two singles. There are two bathrooms, one en suite to the main bedroom.

The ground floor holds the living and dining space, warmed by a woodburner, along with a fully fitted kitchen where you can prepare full meals. A shower room and utility area are also on this level. Upstairs, the master bedroom opens onto a decked balcony where you can sit with coffee and watch the estuary activity, or simply catch the afternoon sun. The property comes with parking for one car on site, and heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all covered. No smoking is permitted inside.

The village has everything needed for a coastal break: shops, cafes, restaurants and the coastal path leading in both directions. It suits families and groups looking for somewhere that feels like an actual home, not a holiday flat.

What guests say

Ok Oo

I genuinely wish more places like this existed. Was really stuck and wouldn’t have made it without these guys help. Cannot thank the whole team enough. 10/10 people.

The council is being charged 1600 per per month per person to stay in a St Petrocs house. And you have to pay a 'top off' of over 100 per month. Lots of money going to a 'charity' that will only assist you if the council will pay the 1600 per month. Otherwise St Petroc's will dump you on the street..

St petrocs appears to be a good charity that assists in helping people resolve their current or previous issues in a number of different areas of life. They assist in finding suitable accommodation for people and where necessary get people back into work or finding things to keep them busy.

Some members of staff are friendly. But you will lose all rights of freedom. You will be constantly watched 24 hours a day on the cameras as they are all over the properties (inside and outside). Even as an adult, we have an 11pm curfew.
