Lowenna is a ground-floor apartment at Polhaun Holiday Apartments, a small complex of four properties near Saint Austell. You enter directly from the patio into an open-plan living and dining space, with a kitchenette tucked to one side and a bedroom and ensuite beyond. The main room has a television and doors onto the patio where a table and chairs overlook Mevagissey Harbour and the bay. The bedroom contains a kingsize bed. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge, making it possible to prepare proper meals.
The apartment sits in landscaped grounds shared with the neighbouring three units, set back from the seafront with its own parking space. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. Two steps lead to the entrance; a pond lies within the grounds. Mevagissey town centre—a working fishing harbour with restaurants, pubs, galleries and shops—is about a mile away. The coast path runs east towards Portmellon, and the beach near Polstruggon is roughly two miles off. The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project are within reasonable driving distance. This property is not suitable for children, and smoking is not permitted.

What guests say
Tom, the host, is an absolute delight, friendly and welcoming, always ready to chat. When you stay here, take the time to talk to him. His knowledge of the area and his experiences make him an indispensable guide and storyteller. The apartments are comfortable and clean, perfect for relaxing in or as a base for wider exploration. The view is stunning and quiet. We left the TV off all week, eating our meals on the terrace, watching the boats in the harbour instead. Mevagissey is a wonderful little village, eateries, bakery's and ice cream parlours galore. The Fountain Pub is worth a visit. The lost gardens of Heligan as well. The Eden Project is 25 minutes drive away. Further out, Falmouth, The Minack Theatre and Lands End are all within driving distance.

Perched on the hillside and only 5 mins walk into Mevagissey with parking! Brilliant spot! Lots of walks from the apartment along the coast. Extremely comfy bed ...very clean and tidy. Owner an absolute legend...

Really nice little apartment which wasn't expensive in school holidays. Well equipped and the view is fab. TD the owner is a really nice chap to boot. Would happily return.

We wanted somewhere with a view and being sat on the terrace of this apartment looking over Mevagissey was perfect. The only downside with a view like this is the climb up and down to the village centre, it helps to work off the evening meal. We had apartment number 3 of 4, 2-4 looked to be of the same layout but number 4 didn't have as much sun in the afternoon but it is easy to move into the garden. Apartment 1 had the best position, sun morning and later in the afternoon and is larger. The interior of the apartment was very clean but quite old, some comments in the guest book complained about the mismatched kitchen equipment, cups etc but we thought that added to the charm. The bathroom looked like it had been refitted not that long ago. Tom the owner who lives on site is a wonderful character, very sprightly at 81, full of the history of the village having lived there all his life and lots of wonderful stories. Just ask him about boat building!! Lots to do in the village and local area, we were there for a week and didn't go further than 15 miles.
