Camelford sits within reach of the North Cornish coast, where dramatic cliffs and sandy beaches draw walkers and swimmers. The Camel Trail—a cycle route following an old railway line—passes close by, and Bodmin Moor lies inland. Polmear Barn occupies its own grounds here, a converted agricultural building that retains genuine character while functioning as a fully equipped holiday home.
The property holds six bedrooms across two floors: four with kingsize beds (three have ensuite showers, one shares a bathroom with two single-bed rooms and a bunk room on the first floor); two rooms with single beds; and a bunk room. Four bathrooms serve the bedrooms, with a spa bath and shower cubicles. Downstairs, a living room with woodburner and smart TV opens onto a patio through French doors; the kitchen has two electric ovens and two hobs, plus a utility room with washing and tumble drying. Parking accommodates six cars, and an electric charging point is available. One dog stays free. No smoking.
The owners live adjacent, but Polmear Barn operates as a self-contained whole property. Heating is underfloor, wi-fi is included, and the enclosed garden offers space for outdoor dining and entertaining. Camelford town centre—with pubs and shops—is a mile's walk away.

A truly wonderful home away from home, set in the most gorgeous location with stunning countryside views. A perfect accommodation for larger families or group of friends, offering plenty of space with superb facilities. The owners are the most lovely couple, making you feel completely welcome, a great cake on arrival too! We are thrilled to have found such a lovely option for our Cornish family holiday, so much so we are booked again for 2025!

Luxury barn! Great underfloor heating! Lovely owners! and an unbelievable amount of space! We had a family of 12, but it never felt like a crammed house. The nearest beach is a ~10min drive and there are plenty of other activities in the area within 20mins (Tintagel Castle, Bodmin moor, Bowling, Cinemas, RAF museum, resoirvoirs, Coast path, pubs, etc.)

Beautiful 2nd stay here booked for 2023 owners could not be more helpful we get a Tesco delivery here and loads of places in Cornwall to visit love it

This place is lovely, so quiet and no light pollution so pitch black at night. Wonderfully presented, can sleep 12 so no shortage of space with just about everything you could want in a Cornish holiday base. Lovely and peaceful setting with amazing rural views. Owners prepared everything so well and the welcome basket was great, they even came round to make sure we were settled (following covid rules) great place, great people, great area. We are already planning a return visit.
