Carpenters Cottage sits within Rosecraddoc Manor, a converted 1820s estate set across 38 acres of grounds and woodland near Liskeard. The building retains period character—exposed stonework features in the bedroom—while offering everything needed for a self-contained stay. The single ground-floor bedroom has a double bed; the bathroom includes a bath. Living space combines a lounge with a kitchen area equipped to cook properly, along with a dining space.
You get the whole property to yourself, with Wi-Fi, parking on site, and access to a patio and garden. Bed linen is provided. The wider estate offers a shared tennis court, lake fishing (your own licence required), and woodland walks through adjacent Rosecraddoc Woods. Sandy beaches on the South Cornwall coast lie roughly 11 miles away. Dogs are welcome. This is a no-smoking property.

The place is quite relaxing and spacious actually for those looking for a peaceful holiday escape. My dogs are very pleased, but I have a few concerns. Firstly, everything is behind a paywall. I understand the place is quite cheap, but i did not expect them to charge a hefty price for the wifi and electricity. Another concern is that there doesn’t seem to be much to do. Most attractions have to be driven at least 30 minutes to get there. The staff is not very accommodating, and may even be seen as quite rude. Unfortunately we had to leave 2 days early to another location for our family holiday.

Wonderful location. Beautiful woodland walk. Right on the edge of stunning Bodmin Moor. Very warm welcome from all the staff and owners.

Beautiful grounds but spoiled by the many holiday buildings. We had few small issues but they were rectified same day which was fantastic. Def a place to relax
