Rosecraddoc Manor - Coachman’s

Photo: Rosecraddoc Manor

The Coachman's sits at ground level within the coach house at Rosecraddoc Manor, a Grade II listed estate set among 35 acres of gardens and woodland near Bodmin Moor. You walk straight in at entrance level—no stairs to navigate—into a self-contained space for two with its own entrance, parking on site, and a private garden or patio.

The layout is compact and straightforward. A living and dining room with television opens onto the kitchen, where you'll find an electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and microwave, plus a washing machine and dryer. The bedroom holds a four-poster double bed measuring 4ft 6in. The shower room has a cubicle shower and separate toilet. Bed linen, Wi-Fi and heating are included; you pay for electricity used. One well-behaved dog is welcome.

The village sits within reach of Looe (8 miles away) and the Eden Project (20 miles). There's a pub and shop a mile and a half off. Residents can use the fishing lake, stocked with carp, roach and bream, and the all-weather tennis courts (available April to October). Please note: the property is for adults only, and smoking is not permitted.

The place is quite relaxing and spacious actually for those looking for a peaceful holiday escape. My dogs are very pleased, but I have a few concerns. Firstly, everything is behind a paywall. I understand the place is quite cheap, but i did not expect them to charge a hefty price for the wifi and electricity. Another concern is that there doesn’t seem to be much to do. Most attractions have to be driven at least 30 minutes to get there. The staff is not very accommodating, and may even be seen as quite rude. Unfortunately we had to leave 2 days early to another location for our family holiday.

Wonderful location. Beautiful woodland walk. Right on the edge of stunning Bodmin Moor. Very warm welcome from all the staff and owners.

Beautiful grounds but spoiled by the many holiday buildings. We had few small issues but they were rectified same day which was fantastic. Def a place to relax
