Rosecraddoc Manor - Foulston Apartment

Photo: Rosecraddoc Manor

Rosecraddoc Foulston Apartment suits families wanting space and convenience, couples seeking a self-contained base, or small groups who don't want to share a kitchen. The two bedrooms—one with a double and single bed, one with a double—have their own bathrooms, so there's no queue in the morning. Everything is on the ground floor, which matters if you're travelling with young children or anyone with mobility concerns. A cot and highchair are available, and one well-behaved pet can come too.

The apartment sits within 38 acres of grounds and woodland near Liskeard, with Bodmin Moor within reach for walking. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking: electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer mean you can do laundry without thinking about it. A woodburner warms the living room on chilly evenings, and wi-fi keeps you connected. Outside, there's garden furniture on a patio area, parking on site, and access to the wider estate's tennis court and lake fishing (you'll need your own licence). Sandy beaches on the South Cornwall coast are about 11 miles away. Note: there is an unfenced water feature in the grounds, something to be aware of with very young children.

The place is quite relaxing and spacious actually for those looking for a peaceful holiday escape. My dogs are very pleased, but I have a few concerns. Firstly, everything is behind a paywall. I understand the place is quite cheap, but i did not expect them to charge a hefty price for the wifi and electricity. Another concern is that there doesn’t seem to be much to do. Most attractions have to be driven at least 30 minutes to get there. The staff is not very accommodating, and may even be seen as quite rude. Unfortunately we had to leave 2 days early to another location for our family holiday.

Wonderful location. Beautiful woodland walk. Right on the edge of stunning Bodmin Moor. Very warm welcome from all the staff and owners.

Beautiful grounds but spoiled by the many holiday buildings. We had few small issues but they were rectified same day which was fantastic. Def a place to relax
