Lake View Cottage is a detached property within Rosecraddoc Holiday Village, a sprawling estate built around the grounds of a manor house dating to the 1820s. The village occupies 38 acres of woodland and gardens overlooking a stocked lake, with Liskeard and its shops a short drive away. Seaton's sandy beaches are roughly 11 miles south.
The cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms: two doubles and a twin. There are two bathrooms, one en suite to the upper bedroom. Downstairs holds the kitchen, dining room and living space with television; upstairs adds a sitting area. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with oven, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Bed linen and towels are provided. Heating is by storage and panel heaters. Wi-Fi is available, along with on-site parking.
The grounds are shared with other properties on the village, and include a tennis court and fishing on the lake (you will need your own licence). There is a balcony to the cottage and a barbecue. A cot and highchair are available if needed. The property does not permit smoking. Do note there is an unfenced body of water within the grounds.

The place is quite relaxing and spacious actually for those looking for a peaceful holiday escape. My dogs are very pleased, but I have a few concerns. Firstly, everything is behind a paywall. I understand the place is quite cheap, but i did not expect them to charge a hefty price for the wifi and electricity. Another concern is that there doesn’t seem to be much to do. Most attractions have to be driven at least 30 minutes to get there. The staff is not very accommodating, and may even be seen as quite rude. Unfortunately we had to leave 2 days early to another location for our family holiday.

Wonderful location. Beautiful woodland walk. Right on the edge of stunning Bodmin Moor. Very warm welcome from all the staff and owners.

Beautiful grounds but spoiled by the many holiday buildings. We had few small issues but they were rectified same day which was fantastic. Def a place to relax
