Rosecraddoc Manor – Lakeview works well for families, couples sharing, or small groups wanting their own space without feeling cramped. The property sleeps six across three bedrooms: a double and two singles downstairs, another double with ensuite upstairs, plus a living room and separate dining room to spread out in. One well-behaved pet is welcome. Ground floor access means no stairs to the main living areas, and the kitchen comes fully equipped for self-catering – cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and the rest – while wifi keeps you connected if needed.
The first-floor living room opens onto a broad balcony overlooking the fishing lake, which is the real draw here. The 35-acre grounds contain woodland and footpaths to explore, an all-weather tennis court (available April to October), and the lake itself for coarse fishing if that interests you. Liskeard sits nearby; Looe with its attractions is eight miles away, and Plymouth's Eden Project is about twenty. A pub and shop are a mile and a half from the lodge. The property is non-smoking.

The place is quite relaxing and spacious actually for those looking for a peaceful holiday escape. My dogs are very pleased, but I have a few concerns. Firstly, everything is behind a paywall. I understand the place is quite cheap, but i did not expect them to charge a hefty price for the wifi and electricity. Another concern is that there doesn’t seem to be much to do. Most attractions have to be driven at least 30 minutes to get there. The staff is not very accommodating, and may even be seen as quite rude. Unfortunately we had to leave 2 days early to another location for our family holiday.

Wonderful location. Beautiful woodland walk. Right on the edge of stunning Bodmin Moor. Very warm welcome from all the staff and owners.

Beautiful grounds but spoiled by the many holiday buildings. We had few small issues but they were rectified same day which was fantastic. Def a place to relax
