Rosecraddoc Manor - River View Villa

Photo: Rosecraddoc Manor

Liskeard sits inland from Cornwall's south coast, within reach of Seaton's beaches and surrounded by countryside. Rosecraddoc Holiday Village occupies 38 acres of grounds and woodland, centered on a fishing lake. River View Villa is a detached house here, standing apart as your own space for the duration of your stay.

The property sleeps six across three bedrooms: a double on the ground floor, a four-poster double upstairs, and two singles in the third room. There are two bathrooms—one with shower on the ground floor, one with bath and shower above. Downstairs has a living and dining room with television and DVD player, plus a kitchen equipped for proper cooking: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Bed linen and Wi-Fi are included; heating is by electric panel heaters and night storage heaters. The grounds offer a balcony, barbecue and garden furniture, with a shared tennis court and fishing lake (licence required) available to guests. Parking is on site. One dog is welcome. Smoking is not permitted.

The village sits near woodland walks and is about 11 miles from sandy beaches. The nearest town is Liskeard, close enough for supplies but far enough away to feel secluded.

The place is quite relaxing and spacious actually for those looking for a peaceful holiday escape. My dogs are very pleased, but I have a few concerns. Firstly, everything is behind a paywall. I understand the place is quite cheap, but i did not expect them to charge a hefty price for the wifi and electricity. Another concern is that there doesn’t seem to be much to do. Most attractions have to be driven at least 30 minutes to get there. The staff is not very accommodating, and may even be seen as quite rude. Unfortunately we had to leave 2 days early to another location for our family holiday.

Wonderful location. Beautiful woodland walk. Right on the edge of stunning Bodmin Moor. Very warm welcome from all the staff and owners.

Beautiful grounds but spoiled by the many holiday buildings. We had few small issues but they were rectified same day which was fantastic. Def a place to relax
