Rosecraddoc Manor - Riverside Cottage

Photo: Rosecraddoc Manor

Rosecraddoc Holiday Village spreads across 38 acres of woodland and landscaped grounds near Liskeard, with a lake at its heart and easy reach of South Cornwall's beaches at Seaton, 11 miles away. Riverside Cottage is a substantial five-bedroom property within these grounds, giving large groups or multiple families their own complete space to spread out.

The cottage has five bedrooms and four bathrooms across two floors. Downstairs holds three bedrooms—one with a double bed and roll-top bath ensuite, two with pairs of single beds and shower ensuites—plus a living room with smart TV and DVD player, dining room, kitchen with electric cooker and dishwasher, and two conservatories. Upstairs, a kingsize bedroom opens onto a balcony, and a double bedroom with shower ensuite complete the sleeping arrangements. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included; gas central heating runs from October to May. The cottage has its own lawned garden with furniture and barbecue, plus ample parking on site.

The village sits within woodland walks, with fishing available on the lake and an all-weather tennis court. No smoking is permitted inside. An unfenced body of water lies within the grounds.

The place is quite relaxing and spacious actually for those looking for a peaceful holiday escape. My dogs are very pleased, but I have a few concerns. Firstly, everything is behind a paywall. I understand the place is quite cheap, but i did not expect them to charge a hefty price for the wifi and electricity. Another concern is that there doesn’t seem to be much to do. Most attractions have to be driven at least 30 minutes to get there. The staff is not very accommodating, and may even be seen as quite rude. Unfortunately we had to leave 2 days early to another location for our family holiday.

Wonderful location. Beautiful woodland walk. Right on the edge of stunning Bodmin Moor. Very warm welcome from all the staff and owners.

Beautiful grounds but spoiled by the many holiday buildings. We had few small issues but they were rectified same day which was fantastic. Def a place to relax
