Seashell Cottage

Photo: Seashells Cottage

This tall Victorian townhouse in Falmouth dates back generations and retains plenty of period character. It's a proper narrow-frontage cottage rising three storeys, a short walk from the Ferry Boat Inn and within a mile of the coast. One bedroom upstairs with an ensuite shower room; the ground floor is open-plan living space with kitchen, dining and sitting areas that connect to a small balcony. Essentials like heating, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are all included.

The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher—so you can eat in or out as you choose. One dog can stay free of charge. The property is non-smoking. There's a public car park about 115 yards away if you're driving.

Falmouth itself is a working port with galleries, cafés and independent shops scattered through its centre. The water's close enough for a walk, and the surrounding lanes are the sort that reward wandering.

What a little gem. We had a 10 day stay from the 2nd October 2024. The cottage was very clean, warm and very well equipped with everything you could wish for. Lovely walk in shower/ WC. Comfortable king size bed. Within easy walking distance (3min ) to the Ferry Boat inn, good grub and choice of beers. Also very near for N.T. gardens to visit. A visit to the seal sancuary at Gweek is a must. Liz was very friendly and accommodating when making our booking. Thank you Liz for a wonderful holiday. Roy & Sue

Booking was simple and Liz was very helpful in providing access info etc. Inside the accommodation was first class with a big comfy bed, walk in shower and a fully fitted kitchen with just about every pot, pan mug, glass or utensil you would ever need. Also there was a washer/dryer with an abundant supply of laundry pods and conditioner. Sadly the outside and location didn't meet up to our expectations. There is a small patio area with table and chairs, but this is directly looked over by very adjacent apartments not really affording any privacy. The cottage itself whilst a stones throw from the waters edge is tucked in at the end of the carpark and has no views whatsoever. There is a parking space provided next to the cottage but it is literally the last space and when the car park was full it was not easy to manoeuvre in/out.
