Within driving distance of this converted WWII bunker are some of Cornwall's most visited attractions. Minack Theatre sits perched on the cliffs at Porthcurno; Sennen and Porthcurno beaches offer wide stretches of sand; Land's End is a short drive away. Inland, Lamorna Cove's wooded valley and Mousehole's working harbour village draw explorers year-round. Marazion's causeway to St Michael's Mount is reachable on foot at low tide, or by ferry when the sea comes in.
The Bunker itself is unusual—built into the ground with a grass dome roof and an internal light tunnel rather than conventional windows, giving it a distinctly subterranean feel. Everything is on one level: an open-plan living and dining space with a full kitchen, four bedrooms (a kingsize with ensuite bath, a double with ensuite shower, and two singles sharing a shower room), and three bathrooms total. A utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer is built in. Outside, there's a large enclosed garden with patio seating, ample parking, and a separate games room with table tennis and piano. One pet stays free. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi—are covered. The rural setting means cattle sometimes graze in the adjacent field, and the grassed roof area has unprotected edges, so children need supervising outdoors.

Absolutely fantastic property! It is quirky and amazingly well equipped. It is surprisingly light inside and everything is very clean and of a high quality. Sitting on the grass roof watching some sunsets was great. The views are lovely. The garden and BBQ area are well kept and again, well equipped. The property is rural, quiet with good access to Sennen Cove, Lands End and Penzance. The table tennis/ games room is brilliant should the weather turn. The owner was appropriately communicative prior to our arrival. He even made us a delicious loaf and provided a nice welcome pack with local butter etc. The owners have really done an outstanding job on this property. It will remain as a memory for a long time. Gutted someone else had already booked it for 2027.

I stayed in The Bunker for a week in February 2019. The building has been converted into cosy accommodation for a family in a rural location. The Bunker was fully equipped with modern facilities. The quirky building has a turf roof with sun tunnels built in. There are plenty of places to visit within a reasonable travelling time of The Bunker. I would recommend using it as a relaxing retreat.
