Tremar suits families, couples and small groups wanting a base on the Lizard Peninsula. The cottage sleeps five across three bedrooms: a double, a three-quarter double suitable for one person, and a bunk room. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower. The whole property is yours alone, with private parking and a small garden.

The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, with an oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave. A woodburner in the living room adds warmth, and essentials including Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. One well-behaved pet can stay free. The cottage sits in Newtown, a quiet rural hamlet; The Prince of Wales pub is now open in the village.

This is prime territory for exploring the Lizard's creeks, hidden coves and coastal paths. Trebah, Glendurgan and Trelissick gardens are within reach, as are water sports, sailing and kayak hire from St Anthony three miles away. Falmouth's museums, restaurants and galleries lie nearby. The peninsula extends to Kynance Cove, Mullion and Coverack beach. No smoking please.
