Rural Cornwall around Trescowthick Barn centres on the Gannel estuary and a clutch of sandy beaches within easy reach. Crantock and Holywell Bay are the nearest, both under three miles away; Newquay's eight beaches and dunes lie a little further. The estuary itself draws walkers, kayakers and birdwatchers. Inland, Crealy Adventure Park, Lappa Valley Steam Railway, Dairyland and Newquay Zoo are all nearby, as is the National Trust's Trerice House.

The converted barn sleeps eleven across five bedrooms and four bathrooms. Downstairs holds a living room with fireplace and freeview television, a second sitting room, a conservatory, and a kitchen with two ovens and dishwasher opening onto a courtyard. One double bedroom with an adjacent single bed and shower room complete the ground floor. Upstairs are four further bedrooms—three with double beds and ensuite facilities, one with two singles, and another with zip-and-link beds that can be configured as doubles or singles. A further shower room serves the landing. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. The property has private parking for four cars, a bike store, and a garage containing a pool table and table football. The courtyard garden has a patio, lawn and barbecue. One well-behaved pet is welcome. No smoking inside.
