Couples and small families will find Trethin - Dovecote suits a short break near Camelford, where the northern edge of Bodmin Moor meets rural farmland. This ground-floor cottage occupies part of a former working farm whose stone buildings now cluster around shared grounds of lawns, trees and flowering shrubs. You get the whole place to yourself, with private parking for one car and a garden to sit in.
The layout is straightforward: an open-plan living space with a dining area, a kitchen with electric cooking, a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, and a wet room with walk-in shower. The essentials are covered—electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included—and the kitchen lets you prepare proper meals. If you need to do laundry, there is a coin-operated washing machine and tumble dryer in a shared facility. One dog stays free; the owner asks that you do not smoke inside.
The site has a games room (table tennis and pool table, coin-operated) and recreation field open to all residents. Shops and restaurants are about a mile and a half away. From here, the north coast is minutes by car—Port Isaac, Padstow, Boscastle and Tintagel all within reach—while the moor offers walking in open country, and coastal paths run between the fishing villages with views across to the Atlantic.

Very nice and well presented accommodation, lovely views and surrounding area. Only down point was costs for laundry (approx £10 for wash and tumble dry).

There are several cottages on this site. It has ample car parking, but the reason I only gave it two stars is because it is in the middle of the countryside. The road is narrow and difficult to walk on to the town, driving is the only option.
