Trevigue Holiday Cottage
Cornwall

Trevigue works well for families wanting space to spread out, couples after a quiet escape, or groups of friends looking for somewhere self-contained. The whole place is yours—four bedrooms across the first floor, two bathrooms, and room enough that people needn't be on top of each other. The master bedroom has a super kingsize that splits into two singles if needed; the others are kingsize and single. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all covered.
Downstairs has two separate living spaces, each with a real fire and books to browse. The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking—there's an electric range, dishwasher, American fridge, and both washing and tumble dryer, so you're not managing laundry elsewhere. A back garden with seating looks out over the grounds, and you get parking for two cars on the drive.
The cottage sits on a 200-acre working National Trust farm that runs from clifftop down to the coast. Saint Gennys Beach is within reach for a walk, and Crackington Haven—with a couple of cafés and a pub—is about twenty minutes on foot. It's genuinely remote and private, down a country lane, with no neighbours overlooking. No smoking inside. Arrive after 15:00, depart by 10:00. One well-behaved pet is welcome.

We had a superb stay when hiking the coast path. Perfect location, incredible service and delicious breakfast. A beautiful cottage, very good accommodation. Gayle and Henry gave such great service and were very good. I highly would highly recommend staying here. We would of loved a longer stay but will hopefully revisit in future when hiking. Don't hesitate to book here, superb!

The attention to detail, the quality, the cleanliness shine through. It's obvious Gayle and Henry love this special place, and so do we. We've stayed in many places, and this is the best - our unanimous verdict including two teenage boys. Thank you Gayle and Henry for letting us share your haven and for being such gracious hosts. We'll be back soon. Neville, Jola, Ewa, Johnny, Matthew & Scooby.

A perfect place if you’re looking for somewhere beautiful, quiet and off the tourist trail. Trevigue itself is a beautiful farm house set right near the north Cornwall coast. We loved our stay here and wish we could’ve stopped by a bit longer. The nearby beaches of Strangles (right on your doorstep) and Bossiney (a short drive away) are utterly breathtaking, and quiet too. Both are a bit of a trek to get to, but SO worth it. If you’re into walking, the Coastal path is worth a look. It’s a bit of a hike in places, but always with rewarding views and/or secret hidden gems to come across. There is only one nearby pub, a 20-30 minute walk away (by farm road...or 1 hour along the stunning coastal path) which we used a couple of times for dinner and a drink. It’s very nice and set in another beautiful spot in Crackington Haven. The super friendly hosts know the area well if you’re looking for ideas for day trips. Thanks for sharing your home with us Gayle!

We thoroughly enjoyed our June 2017 stay at the family farmhouse B&B! We spent 4 nights during sunny weather and explored the area: Tintagel Castle, Boscastle (town and great farmstand for lunch with views!!), Port Isaac, etc. Gayle and Henry were outstanding as hosts. We really enjoyed the home-cooked breakfasts with family-made sausages and fresh fruit, fresh eggs from on site,... This is a place we did not want to leave!! Just down the road is Crackington Haven with a scenic beach and the great Cabin Cafe for lunch or dinner. We stayed in Bath, Newquay, Edinburgh, Inverness, and Pitlochry, but Trevigue farmhouse was by far the most scenic, wild and serene B&B. Really wish we could have that great slate for our San Diego bathroom! Thanks Gayle & Henry!
