Wisteria Cottage

Photo: Wisteria Cottage

Lansdowne sits within the Cotswold landscape, a setting where open countryside and village life sit close together. Wisteria Cottage is a single-bedroom property here, designed as your own self-contained base. The ground floor holds an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with a smart TV, plus a shower room. Upstairs is a king bedroom, also with a TV. You get your own entrance, parking for one car, and a rear garden with courtyard space—a hot tub takes up part of it, heated and private to the cottage.

The kitchen comes equipped to cook proper meals: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and coffee machine are all there. Heating is electric, and the essentials—bed linen, towels, electricity and Wi-Fi—are included in your stay. One small dog can come along, though must remain on a lead. The garden has a step down to it, worth knowing if mobility matters.

From here you can reach Bourton-on-the-Water and the wider Cotswold Water Park on foot or a short drive. Traditional village pubs are within walking distance. Non-smokers only, and check-in is after 4pm, departure before 10am.

Went with my wife and a couple of friends recently for a long weekend. The house was beautiful, had everything we needed and was right in the centre of town - also absolutely beautiful. We could easily walk the the local pubs and restaurants in about a minute but it was so quiet at night so slept perfectly. Short walk to the Hawkstone brewery which was a highlight. The host was really accommodating as well, my wife is vegan and he knew recommended which local restaurants would cater for her! Would definitely recommend staying here!! We'll be coming back in the winter for sure

Wisteria cottage was the perfect long weekend home for our friends gathering of six adults. Situated within easy, level walk of town (you can see it from the window). Well finished and equipped, comfy beds, sunny garden, exceeded our expectations. Parking available up by the school. Plenty of pubs and eateries to choose from; I'd personally recommend the Charter House. Also visit the motor museum, very quaint.

Fantastic four bedroom, spacious cottage, three reception rooms, beautiful garden, large, fully equipped kitchen. Well stocked with games, books, information on the area, places to eat, etc. Great location with everything worth seeing and visiting within walking distance. Free and safe parking for two cars comes as part of the package. Home away from home!
