What visitors say
We had the most wonderful day out at Coombe Abbey Park. It is, without a doubt, one of the finest spots in the Midlands for a proper family walk. The Capability Brown landscaping is simply stunning, offering a perfect mix of formal gardens, ancient woodland, and that magnificent lake. The kids absolutely loved the Discovery Centre and the play areas. It’s incredibly dog-friendly too, which makes for a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. We wrapped up our walk with a brilliant cup of tea and some lovely cakes from the café. Yes, the car park is a few quid, but honestly, it’s worth every penny for a full day of beautiful scenery and peace. A quintessential British country park at its absolute best. We’ll be back next weekend for sure!

A beautifully maintained historic abbey surrounded by gorgeous parkland. The hotel is a wonderful example of old fashioned grandeur. Being allowed to age gracefully but being modern enough where it matters. Cool nooks with comfy chairs where you can lounge and enjoy a cup of tea or cocktail... The grand staircase leads up to floors 1 and 2 (there is a lift too) where our room was huge! Big, comfy bed with gorgeous bed linen, tea and coffee making facilities even a cafetiere. Bathroom was lovely with a massive bathtub and over bath shower - lots of fluffy towels too. Customer service is second to none and after a misunderstanding in the restaurant, it was dealt with with understanding and respect. The menu has something for everyone but you need to point out if you have any allergies as the written menu doesn't reflect this. As coeliacs, very few choices were highlighted as gf or as can be made gf but 80% menu actually could be made gf. We had an absolutely delicious burger in a gorgeous gf bun with fries and a really lovely bottle of Primitivo, sat out under the stars in such beautiful surroundings was magical. A truly wonderful stay with amazing staff where you really do feel special.

Very nice and big park. Well kept with barely any litter any where. Been coming here since I was a kid and today was the first time I actually walked all the way around. I'm a slow walker and it took under an hour and there was barely anyone there so very nice and peaceful

The park was absolutely beautiful—one of those places that makes you slow down without even realizing it was a beautiful evening the greenery felt so fresh and calming, and the way the sunlight filtered through the trees gave everything a soft, golden glow. It was peaceful, almost like stepping away from the noise of everyday life for a while. Definitely a place I’d love to visit again.
