Crewkerne makes a relaxed, affordable base for touring south Somerset and west Dorset, without the peak-season price tag of the nearby coast. Options in and around the town run from traditional pubs-with-rooms in the centre, such as the historic White Hart Inn and The Crooked Swan, to farmhouse B&Bs and country inns scattered through the villages towards Chard, Beaminster and Yeovil.
