About Awel Mor Guest House

Awel Mor is a small, family-run guest house on Marine Terrace, directly on Criccieth's seafront, with eight en-suite bedrooms furnished with towels, complimentary toiletries and tea and coffee facilities. Its position gives many rooms a direct outlook over the beach and Cardigan Bay.

The guest house is run personally by its owners, who are known locally for a warm welcome and a full cooked breakfast to start the day. Its compact size keeps the atmosphere quiet and personal, a contrast to the larger hotels along the same stretch of seafront.

Marine Terrace puts guests within a few minutes of the castle, both beaches and the town's shops and cafes, making Awel Mor a straightforward, well-placed base for a short seaside stay.

Under new ownership and very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. It was clean tidy and comfy beds with ensuite shower rooms and a good breakfast selection. It is walking distance to pubs and restaurants and 10ft from the beach. Looking forward to revisiting in the future to see how the new owners put their stamp on it

Beautiful clean, cosy, nicely decorated, close to the beach. Terrific breakfast, friendly, professional hosts. Lots of lovely personal touches, great attention to detail. Lovely sea view and comfy sofa to enjoy it from!

We had a great 5 night stay here, highly recommend it! Mark and Louise are friendly, kind, and attentive owners. we had room 6, which has gorgeous views overlooking the sea. room was very nicely decorated, very clean, huge, and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast included was always fab too, see the photo. Great location on a very picturesque street. Easily walkable to the rest of the town too. We don't often stay at b&b's, but this one is basically a mini hotel, in our opinion, a very lovely one at that!

The whole experience was perfect. We spent three nights in one of their front-facing double rooms with en-suite facilities. It was clean, tidy and nicely decorated. Tea, coffee and biscuits were provided each day. Wonderful views from our top-floor windows. The largest double bed we've ever seen. A television was also provided. The owner, Mark, was extremely friendly and engaging. His regular offers to help, should we have needed it, were pleasing to hear. The variety of breakfast choices was more than we could have asked for. Every aspect of the hotel, which is run by Mark and his wife, Louise, was ideal. Would we go again? Yes.

Simple guest rooms, some with sea views, and a cosy, south-facing lounge with a stone fireplace.
