About Crieff Hydro
Crieff Hydro's restaurant and bar anchor a hotel built around families and long stays, with breakfast served each morning and food options substantial enough to suit both children and adults after a day of activities. The bar offers a natural spot to wind down, with the grounds beyond providing plenty of reasons to work up an appetite first.
Rooms come with free WiFi and air conditioning, and the wider hotel is equipped with a lift, porter and concierge services, making it straightforward for guests moving between facilities or arriving with luggage in tow. The indoor swimming pool, complete with an inflatable slide, is a particular draw for younger guests, while the spa, sauna and gym cater to adults looking for something quieter. Childcare is available on-site, and the gardens give the whole property a spacious, easy-going feel.
Set in Perth and Kinross near Crieff, the hotel is also set up as a wedding venue, with free on-site parking making it convenient for arriving guests. Elcho Castle lies within reach locally, and Gleneagles is around 11.73 miles away. Staff are generally attentive and friendly, though service has occasionally been noted as inconsistent during busier periods.

What guests say
Had a lovely stay at the Crieff Hydro. The hotel runs like a well oiled machine - from the accommodation to the activities. Everything is well-maintained and spotless. Food is wonderful and I would strongly recommend East. The resort offers a comprehensive range of amenities. What stood out most and what really makes the hotel shine is the amazing staff who provide outstanding service, being friendly, and demonstrating a committed team spirit. Claire, one of the lovely hosts, was particularly exceptional. She rearranged our restaurant reservation on short notice, and her professional attitude and style made us feel valued.

Another fantastic stay at Crieff Hydro and from the moment we arrived we were met with first class service. Me, my wife and my son love coming here as there is just so much to do. It was only a one night stay but we managed to have kids clubs, horse riding and swimming as just a few things we done. I want to thank David on the front of house as he went over and above to ensure we will be booking again soon! I also want to thank the horse riding centre as they sere so friendly and encouraging to take part. The Big Country for my son and for adults to have a wee break 😉 was fantastic and the staff also were very welcoming! There isn’t anything really to complain about but I would like to mention that moving the Hub to the terrace wasn’t a hit in my opinion! I think the Hub should remain a food area during the day so u can be close to kids in the play areas and the terrace could be a sports bar/ pub grub casual dining experience. All in all tho 10 out of 10!

We were up in hotel for two nights to celebrate my sisters birthday. A wonderful time together. We had a lovely dinner in the Meikle on Saturday night. Large table of 12. All staff were great but Poppy looked after us meticulously the whole evening. So a special thanks to her. Lots of improvements and upgrades to hotel since we were last here. Still one of the best for us, for family treats. Thank you all.

Crieff Hydro is absolutely spectacular. Being there is purifying in itself. The environment is beautiful, and the facilities are wonderfully diverse and relaxing, with many options for sports and wellness. The breakfast was lovely and it was one of the only hotels where I had dinner in the hotel restaurant - Which was quite all right. 4 stars for the food. I had a wonderful time here. The only downside is that, at least for the single rooms, the beds themselves were rather uncomfortable. Hence 4 stars instead of 5. Which still means its well worth a trip.
