What visitors say
We are just back from a 2 night stay at the lodges. They are absolutely fantastic. Exceptionaly clean and spacious. It had 2 bedroom very good size. The kitchen had everything you needed. The sitting area was very spacious . The hot tub area was secluded for privacy. Will certainly return here.☺️

My friend and I travelled to Scotland for a few days to celebrate her birthday. We found Huntingtower Lodge in Perth on Booking.com and booked it there as well. What could possibly go wrong? As it turns out – absolutely everything. Two days before arrival, we were informed that our lodge had been changed to another one. No explanation, no apology, nothing. After a five‑hour journey we were dreaming of rest… but that was clearly too much to ask. When we arrived, we immediately understood why the original lodge was changed – it was under some sort of renovation. The second lodge we were assigned to was… unlocked. We were given a code for a key box. The key box did not exist. The key was lying on the table. Brilliant. Inside – complete disappointment. Dust, cobwebs, dirty floors, cup marks, a filthy fridge, dog paw prints on the sofa. The bathroom had a sticker claiming it was “cleaned”, but it clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. We went to the reception – nobody there. We called the number from the card inside the lodge – the signal was terrible. After several attempts, a lady finally answered, listened, promised to call back… and didn’t. After more attempts, we were told to move to a third lodge. The third lodge was also unlocked. Slightly better standard, same level of dirt. Dusty carpet, lamps covered in a thick layer of dust, “prepared” beds and bathroom but everything else untouched. Then we received a message on Booking.com saying they “tried to contact us but we were out of range”. Sorry, is it my fault that even their own Wi‑Fi barely works? Next, we were told we couldn’t stay in this lodge, because there would be some maintenance works the next day. Maintenance ? The lodge was perfectly functional – just extremely dirty. They suggested that a cleaner could come and clean the original lodge. At this point we felt treated like… well, certainly not like paying guests. We replied clearly: – we are not moving again, – we want to stay where we are, – or we want a better lodge, – or a refund so we can move to a hotel. After another long silence, we received a message asking whether we had already left the lodge. And that was the final straw. We packed our things, walked out and left the property. Within an hour we found a hotel that was half the price, spotless, with a SPA and actual staff who exist. Exactly what we expected from the beginning. Guest service level – absolute zero. Reception exists only in theory. Communication – difficult. Response to issues – nonexistent. Cleanliness – nowhere to be found. Photos on Booking.com must be from the day the lodges were built. We were genuinely disappointed. We came to celebrate, and instead we were treated like an inconvenience. I sincerely hope Huntingtower Lodge reconsiders its standards, improves guest service, introduces real cleaning, proper communication and maybe one day – an actual 24‑hour reception. Because maintaining quality requires work, consistency and a team that understands that guests are not a burden, but the reason the business exists. Hope no one will have more bad experience. I

Just back from a 2 night stay here and I can’t recommend this place enough. We stayed in Epona 8 and the lodge was huge! 2 very spacious bedrooms, a large living room and kitchen, and even a little playroom for children (there was just 2 of us but I appreciate this would be a great feature for families). The garden area in our lodge was also very spacious but still private, and it would be a brilliant space to enjoy in the Spring/Summer. The decor of the lodge was absolutely gorgeous and it feels like real luxury - amazing quality for the price paid. The area is very quiet and relaxing, hearing the birds singing in the mornings and the owls at night. We also both had great sleeps both nights. Some suggestions I have to make Huntingtower even better going forward - 1. Our lodge was pretty cold when we arrived and the radiators did take quite a while to heat the place up (we were unlucky with the weather this weekend though!!). Either having slight heat in the place for arrival, or having throws in the living room would help this. 2. Extras such as robes/balloons/flowers chocolates and alcohol etc can be added onto the booking - but it would be good if there was some kind of food hamper option too. Tea/coffee/biscuits etc are provided & were lovely, but having an option which included things like a couple of eggs, little butter sachets, milk, continental breakfast options ie mini cereal boxes etc would make the arrival and experience smoother for people like me who forget to bring these things! Overall the stay was brilliant and we will definitely be back! Thanks so much.

Place spotless, staff so helpful. Feel as if your in the country , but 5 minutes away from Dundee. Second time here , even better than the first. Three nights of bliss, best sleep I have had in a long time. Hot tub spotless.
