Just eight rooms above a busy Cromer pub, The White Horse mixes hearty roasts and a beach-side High Street setting.

About The White Horse

Eight rooms are all The White Horse has to offer, which keeps things properly small-scale for a pub hotel on Cromer's High Street. The building doubles as a working restaurant and bar, so the atmosphere leans towards a lively local rather than a quiet retreat, with a garden for anyone wanting a bit of outside space.

The kitchen is the main draw, turning out hearty breakfasts and Sunday roasts with a good range of vegetarian choices. There's a children's play area for families, free WiFi throughout, and 24 hour reception for late arrivals. Pets are welcome, and the property also hosts weddings, so it's used to catering for groups as well as overnight guests. Service is generally friendly, though it can be stretched thin at busier times.

Free on-site parking makes it an easy base for exploring Cromer, with the beach and town attractions within easy reach on foot from the High Street. It suits visitors after a straightforward, food-focused stay rather than a formal hotel experience.

A wonderful stay from start to finish. We received a warm welcome on arrival, and our check-in was quick and effortless. Our room was beautifully decorated & clean, the beds were comfy, and the room was well stocked with toiletries, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, which was a lovely touch. The breakfast was delicious and everything freshly prepared. The pub & restaurant is also beautiful decorated and clean, it's family friendly and has a lovely playground onsite. Great location with easy walking access to Overstand beach and a short drive (or 2 mile coastal walk) to Cromer We had a lovely stay and have already recommend here to our family & friends.

What a lovely pub/restaurant. We stayed 3 nights, the room was spacious very clean and the decor was great. The breakfast had a really good selection and very tasty. We had an evening meal and would recommend the food and definitely need to book. The atmosphere was amazing and lovely to see that dogs are allowed. The staff were very friendly and I loved my stay and would come again.

Great play area if youre looking for somewhere for children to play and enjoy a drink and food. The kitchen didnt open until 6pm so we had to leave. The staff were friendly but an older lady with brown bobbed hair, found her short and a bit unhelpful. Maybe she was having a hard day but affected our experience of the place. Didnt stay in the rooms so couldnt comment. Food menu had a good collection and great location in Cromer

Food was amazing and the guys who delivered food to the table and cleared the table were lovely. The ladies behind the bar less so. Also sold great dog treats and a lovely garden for the kids
