Ash Cottage

The Cumbrian countryside around Tottergill Farm sits in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with footpaths leading straight into Gelt Woods and up towards Carrock Fell. Castle Carrock village is a mile's walk away, home to a country pub. The private 48-acre estate itself attracts red squirrels, woodpeckers and pheasants to its grounds. Ash Cottage is one of the farm's converted barns, a single ground-floor bedroom property with everything on one level.

The cottage holds a super king bed with its own en-suite shower room, and a combined living and dining space with a wood burner and television. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with a dishwasher and washer-dryer included. Electricity, wi-fi, bed linen, towels and logs for the burner are provided. One car can park on site; there is a bike store for exploring the estate and surroundings. One dog is welcome, though must be kept on a lead in this sheep country. Smoking is not permitted indoors.

Brampton, the nearest town four miles away, offers shops and restaurants and sits within reach of Hadrian's Wall and the Lake District. Complimentary access to a private swimming pool in Brampton is available by prior arrangement.
