Aspatria is a small town in north-west Cumbria, positioned between mountains and sea. From here you can reach the beach in under ten miles or drive to Keswick and the Lake District within half an hour. Cockermouth, fifteen minutes away, has the Wordsworth house and Jennings Brewery. A pub and shop are each under a mile on foot.
Brodie Cottage is an end-terrace property refurbished to a high standard, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Downstairs there is a living room and dining room with a gas woodburner, plus a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. A wet room with shower serves the ground floor. Upstairs, one bedroom has a king bed and the other has two single beds; both have televisions. The bathrooms have heated towel rails and either a shower or a bath with shower over. An enclosed courtyard at the back has seating and is lit for evening use. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and broadband are included. No smoking is permitted indoors.
The cottage suits families or two couples wanting a base for exploring the Cumbrian landscape, whether that means coastal walks, fells, or the towns and attractions nearby.
