Holly Lodge is a detached 18th-century house that opens into generous reception rooms on the ground floor. The main living space has a woodburner and Freesat; a second sitting room offers Freeview and an open fire. The dining room connects to a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—gas hob, electric range, dishwasher and American fridge freezer—with a utility room housing washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs are five bedrooms: a super king with ensuite bathroom, two further kings (one with ensuite), a double and a pair of singles, served by three bathrooms across the property.

The house comes with essentials covered: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi. You have sole use of the whole property and can park two cars on site. The enclosed lawned garden has a patio, furniture and barbecue; beyond that lie shared woodland and an orchard. A pond sits in the garden. Dogs stay free. Wigton is on the fringe of the Lake District, within reach of both countryside and coast, with the Solway Firth nearby. No smoking is permitted. Check-in is after 15:00, departure before 10:00.
