This 17th-century house has the solid character that comes with age—exposed beams, generous rooms filled with light, and the kind of layout that feels right for a gathered group. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms spread across two floors accommodate six people, with a king bed and ensuite on the first floor, two twin rooms, and a family bathroom featuring a slipper bath. The whole place is yours alone, and one well-behaved dog is welcome.
The ground floor centres on a kitchen and dining room where you can cook properly, with electric oven and hob, dishwasher and full-sized fridge, plus French doors opening onto a patio. Two separate living spaces bookend the hall—one with a woodburner and smart TV, the other with an Xbox and board games. A utility room handles laundry. Outside, the garden includes decked areas, rattan furniture, a firepit (logs provided to start) and space for a barbecue. Parking for three cars sits on the property. Heating comes from an air source heat pump, with initial fuel included for the woodburners. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all covered.
The cottage sits in a quiet village within reach of long beach walks and the South Lakes, with the Miners Arms nearby for an evening out. Non-smokers only.
