Oaklands is a detached bungalow built at ground level, situated beside a mixed farm in the hamlet of Langrigg. Four bedrooms and four bathrooms—three doubles with ensuite facilities and a fourth with two single beds—make this a genuine option for groups or families wanting their own space. The main living areas include a dining room and sitting room with open fire, plus a conservatory that catches the sun. Everything is on one floor.
A private hot tub and sauna are available for guests. Outside there is garden furniture, a barbecue, and parking on site. Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided; the woodburner comes with logs. The property does not permit smoking. A fenced pond sits in the garden, and the hamlet itself is quiet, though a pub is a mile away and shops two miles.
Location suits anyone wanting to explore the North Western Lake District or the Solway Coast, which lies ten miles off. Cockermouth and Keswick are both roughly twenty minutes by car. Hadrian's Wall and the Scottish border are within reach if you venture further afield. The area is marked by good walking and cycling routes.
