What visitors say
An excellent base for bagging the local Hewitts in the area! Calders, The Calf, Yarlside, Randygill Top and Fell Head all walked over the week and conveniently close to the Farm. Knott Lodge, warm, comfortable and delightfully quiet, a very pleasant stay! Hosts, very friendly and helpful! Would highly recommend. Sedbergh visited on several occasions (3 miles drive away), excellent bookshops (especially Westwood Books), Spar and butchers, The Meat Hook (very tasty sausage rolls and sausages!). Farfield Mill, well worth a visit as well! Good exhibitions of the mill heritage, history and equipment plus a high quality range of arts and craft by local artists in galleries covering the 4 floors. Free entry, Donation optional.

A quiet delightful place to stay. The scenery is gorgeous, we were so welcomed by Alan & Lily and the sheep dogs. Comfortable and very spacious for the rest we needed. It Is a working farm and deserves the respect of visitors

An amazing barn conversion which is adapted for wheelchair users. Set up a track away from the road it has the most amazing views. So peaceful with the only sounds being birds and sheep. Friendly, helpful hosts. Nothing too much trouble for them.

A lovely farm cottage, cosy, and with stunning views of the Dales. We stayed in "Knott View" - a 2 bedroom cottage with bathroom and kitchen/lounge/diner. There are also laundry washing facilities and parking. Wifi in the property which is helpful, but wasn't always able to get a strong signal. Phone signal was also a little tricky in the area as it's so remote, but this also means it's very quiet! Very close to lots of local sites like Cautley Spout, Pendragon Castle, Sedbergh, Dent, the Lake District, and more. We had a wonderful stay and hope to stay again in future!
