I would highly recommend this wonderful spot. It was the perfect place to spend time together as a family. We booked 3 pods and a caravan. The 6 kids (aged 1-7) loved the toy shed, the trampoline and the huge amount of space to explore. The adults really enjoyed the sauna and cold plunge session - such beautiful views! We had a lovely bbq together with the firepits and really enjoyed the relaxed vibes of the place! The honesty shop is well stocked and a really nice touch. The location encourages you to switch off and relax, while also being close enough to spots like Windermere for day trips. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely love Howgills Hideaway – this is our second trip. No complaints whatsoever. Really peaceful, beautiful setting, gorgeous and well-equipped cabin (we stayed in the Orchard cabin this time, which is fantastic if you love a sauna – we managed 12 sessions over 3 days... and using the literally ice-cold shower afterwards gives the true Finnish experience). Absolute luxury. Even had an outdoor bath with the air temperature hovering around freezing. Just what we needed.

Howgills Hideaway is absolutely gorgeous. We stayed for 1 night in the Ellergil Pod and it had everything we could have needed! The outdoor bath was a lovely extra luxury and the views from there were stunning! The areaof the pod was super private and cozy. The hosts provided plenty of info before our arrival and checked in with us after we arrived. They even have a little honesty shop that is well stocked with local goods, snacks and fresh farm eggs! Would highly recommend staying here!
