About Farm and Fell Campsite
Farm and Fell sits just outside Sedbergh in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with stunning fell views and a riverside location that's popular with wild swimmers and families. The main field hosts up to 30 non-electric grass pitches, while a separate wood field caters for groups. Campfires are encouraged, and helpful staff sell firewood and collect rubbish. Resident farm animals add rural charm, and dogs are welcome year-round.
Facilities are straightforward rather than luxurious — the showers can be basic and water sometimes runs cold, though the toilet block is kept clean. It's a proper walkers' paradise, with fishing on site and climbing, cycling and canoeing all nearby. The peaceful, remote setting makes it ideal for Duke of Edinburgh groups, motorcyclists and anyone craving a budget-friendly base amid spectacular Cumbrian scenery.

What visitors say
Perfect farm campsite. We had a lovely weekend here with friends. Able to pitch where we liked, warm showers, portaloos kept clean. Bin bag collection every morning and log delivery on an evening. Farm animals in surrounding fields were lovely to watch. Direct access to lovely walks and close to the river for a dip. We would absolutely return here it is basic but all we needed and the staff were lovely and laid back.

Lovely site! I stopped here for the night whilst doing the Dales Way (it’s right in the path)! The site itself was clean and tidy and has all the basics you require for a comfy night - clean toilets and shower! There’s a lovely covered communal area should it rain - this is also where the showers and communal sink is though so don’t come out wrapped in just a towel! Sedburgh is about a mile down the road where there are shops and pubs.

What is good- Incredible views, close to a little river which you can paddle in, animals are great - lambs, cows, horses. Walking distance to Sedbergh centre. Downside- Just one sink to wash hands, wash face, brush teeth, wash pots. Shower facilities- if someone is using the only sink on the site, the shower runs cold. Showers are extremely basic. Toilets- three toilets, very basic. No hand basin in toilets. The biggest problem we personally had on site was the huge gusts of wind on what seems like a fairly calm day! We’ve never been at a campsite that is so windy before - the tent had trouble staying up! Just one to beware of that you have a strong tent as it seems to be a wind tunnel! Overall, nice site for children due to the animals and river close by. Farmers were helpful and come round of an evening with option to buy wood.

Fantastic campsite in a beautiful location, with views of the fells and walks to the river and town. The staff at the campsite are warm, friendly and welcoming. There is a toilet and shower block and logs are available for the firepits. Will definately be returning in the future
