We stayed at Castle Point Caravan and Camping Site recently and honestly had an amazing experience overall. The site was spotless, the toilets and showers were excellent, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The scenery and coastal views were absolutely sensational, and the atmosphere from other campers was lovely too — lots of people saying hello and good morning which made it feel really welcoming. Unfortunately, we were pitched next to the group who have recently left negative reviews, and our experience of the situation was very different from what they described. There were ongoing noise issues late into the night, including children screaming and fighting in the tent area, cars being started around midnight to pump up air beds, and repeated disturbance well past the 10pm quiet time. They also caused issues with neighbouring pitches, including asking our friends to move their tent so another car could get through. From what we witnessed, the campsite staff handled the situation calmly and professionally after multiple disturbances and complaints from surrounding campers. It’s also worth mentioning that the group appeared to arrive with more people and vehicles than originally booked for. Aside from that situation, we genuinely loved our stay here. It’s a beautiful, peaceful campsite with fantastic facilities and stunning views. We came with our tent and friends and would absolutely return again.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Our experience at Castle Point Caravan and Camping Site was profoundly disappointing and far removed from what one would reasonably expect from a so-called “family” campsite. We arrived under the impression that this was a welcoming environment for families with children, only to discover that the atmosphere resembles more of a monastic retreat than a family holiday destination. The insistence on absolute silence at virtually all times is utterly impractical when young children are involved. Families naturally come with laughter, excitement, and the occasional noise — that is the very essence of travelling with children. Unfortunately, the management demonstrated neither empathy nor understanding toward this reality. What was most disheartening, however, was the administration’s complete unwillingness to engage in a civil or compassionate conversation regarding the situation. Rather than attempting to resolve matters amicably or understand the circumstances, their immediate response was to demand that we vacate the premises the following morning. Hospitality should be founded upon courtesy, patience, and a degree of human understanding — qualities that were conspicuously absent here. Had we been informed beforehand that this site prioritises near-absolute silence over a genuine family-friendly atmosphere, we would certainly have chosen alternative accommodation. Regrettably, this was an inhospitable and unnecessarily unpleasant experience, and not one I would recommend to families travelling with children. In

Stayed here for the night with my son. Great wee campsite with amazing views especially in good weather (which we had) close by beaches to wander on. Campsite was clean and good facilities. Will be back again.
