About Balcary Bay Hotel
Rooms at Balcary Bay Hotel come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and drinks laid on, with family rooms available for those travelling in a group. Many rooms make the most of the setting with sea views, and the hotel's conservatory shares the same outlook over the bay. The restaurant serves food that's locally sourced and carefully presented, with breakfast, kids' meals and packed lunches available, plus a bar for something more relaxed. Some find the menu prices a touch high for what's on offer, though the quality itself isn't in question. What guests say
We turned up unannounced and were greeted by a wonderful General Manager and her friendly and approachable staff. The food was delicious. The atmosphere of sitting in the lounge was perfect for what we needed. Sweet little conservatory afterwards for a coffee and amazing views. Definitely returning.

We stopped here for refreshments as we were on a 2 day mini break in D&G. A very lovely kindly gentleman (the owner) greeted & served us both drinks. We decided to sit outside (we were the only ones - we had the whole bay to ourselves except for the wildlife. For me, it was the highlight of our two days - it was just so beautiful & quiet. In a world full of noise & distraction, it was the most perfect place to be!!! On another note, I asked about parking our car & apparently, they don’t use a ‘parking company’ anymore - so it’s free 😊

The most perfect holiday experience at Balcary Bay. The owners Victor and Diana were wonderful as were all the staff and family members working there. The food was worth the visit alone, Diana is an amazing chef and what she produced for all of us (about 25 of us staying there) Victor who was about the hotel at all times (especially at the bar making cocktails). There were rooms to relax and rooms to have a coffee and eat and even a fabulous massage chair in the lobby. Our room was amazing with direct access to the beach.

In response to your denial of the balcony picture I included in my review. How dare you say this was not your balcony. I am outraged. One can clearly see the view from the patio and your brochure on the coffee table. Our booking was two balcony suites. How ridiculous and untrue your refutal! Furthermore, I did not seek “discount on everything” it is libellous for you to suggest such a thing. The food was overpriced, greasy and in the main unpalatable. The atmosphere non-existent, cold rooms, only two other guests staying in March, hardly the thriving image on your out of date brochure pictures and on booking sites. Thank goodness I did not attempt the Wellness centre. And finally, I found the leatherette massage chair adjacent to your entrance cashier desk deeply unsettling. So glad I need never return. Drive past the hotel to the free municipal car park. Take a picnic. Enjoy the spectacular views instead of being disheartened by mostly crappy, overpriced food and dirty unswept balconies covered in bird poop. I will never go back to this hotel and I would actively discourage anyone else to visit and waste their money. I could go on but it is turgid drivel; the 11 cracked tiles on my bathroom floor, the filthy misty windows obscuring the views, absolutely no room service, unless you count the £15 surcharge if you wanted a meal served in your room etc. etc. Please see a few photos. Devastating for a special occasion.
