About Bayards Cove Inn

Dartmouth's harbourside setting puts Bayards Cove Inn within easy reach of the South Devon coast path and the water itself, with watersports, fishing and cycling all on the doorstep, plus a good spread of pubs and restaurants nearby for evenings when you'd rather not cook.

The inn itself has just seven rooms, kept comfortable and clean with small extra touches such as fresh coffee and makeup remover towels laid on for guests. Air conditioning, free WiFi and family rooms are available, and pets are welcome. There's a restaurant and bar on site serving food that runs from fresh fish and chips to shrimp burgers, alongside a proper breakfast, and outdoor seating for making the most of the harbour views. Packed lunches can be arranged for days out, and drinks can be brought to the room.

Staff are consistently described as attentive and friendly, and the inn also handles weddings for those wanting a Dartmouth setting for the day. Luggage storage is available for guests exploring further afield along the coast before checking out.

Had an amazing meal last night at Bayards Cove Darmouth. A lovely lady served us, she went above and beyond by finding us a table. Had the spiced grilled chicken breast, it was just the best, so tasty washed down with a nice glass of sauvigon blanc. Will definitely be visiting again. Advisable to book as place gets very busy cause its so good ! You will not be disappointed. Thank You Bayards

We called in one quiet night for our evening meal. It did not disappoint. BUT I would recommend pre booking. We saw how busy it was at the weekend and went back on Tuesday. Great service fantastic food, relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely return if we were in the area again.

We popped in here for lunch after a river tour. The staff & atmosphere were very welcoming. The food was fantastic. I had the smoked bacon & haddock chowder, absolutely delicious. Perfectly seasoned with plenty of bacon & haddock. Husband had the shrimp burger which was tasty & juicy. Served with seasoned French fries & coleslaw. Good quality ingredients and very reasonably priced.

We have a wonderful time staying at this charming Inn, it's is a stones throw from the estuary sea view from our room. A very very old listed building has been sympathetically designed to be comfortable and still quirky. There isn't a dedicated parking are but we bagged a spot right next door and we didn't move our car all stay. Chloe gave us the warmest welcome and our room (the Beatty) was lovely, cosy, warm and scrupulously clean, traditional leaded windows out on to the street and the sea. Super comfy bed and we had a delicious breakfast too! We will definitely be back! Thank you so much!
