About Cherubs Nest

Cherubs Nest occupies a Grade II listed merchant's house on Higher Street, one of Dartmouth's oldest and steepest lanes, and the building's 1710 origins are still visible in its proportions and woodwork even after careful restoration. The house takes its name from the carved cherub over its doorway and has become one of the town's better-known small bed and breakfasts as a result.

Three bedrooms are furnished individually and to a high standard, and the house's position gives an unusually level walk down to the river, the Boat Float and the town's shops, avoiding some of the steeper climbs found elsewhere in Dartmouth. Breakfasts are cooked to order, and the owners run the property personally, giving guests direct, knowledgeable advice on the town and its tides, ferries and walks.

Its combination of genuine period character, a central but level location and a small, personally run scale makes it a popular choice for couples wanting a characterful stay without a car.

To small room, but the breakfast was not to bad had better. But the people who served use where lovely. The booking . Com failed to tell us that breakfast was £7.50 extra
