About Travelodge Derby Pride Park
Travelodge Derby Pride Park is a straightforward, modern four-floor building set up for practical stays rather than fuss, with 84 en-suite rooms spread across the property and a lift for easy access to every level. Rooms are kept clean and comfortable, with several guests noting the good showers and in-room coffee machines, and accessible rooms are available for those who need them.
Downstairs there's a bar and restaurant on site, along with breakfast service that guests rate as a solid start to the day. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, though service can be a little inconsistent at busier times. Facilities extend to an electric vehicle charge point and on-site parking, which is chargeable unless you register your vehicle at reception to validate a free stay.
The location puts guests close to Pride Park stadium and within reach of Derby city centre, with a Burger King nearby along with other pubs, bars and restaurants for evening options. Pets are welcome, making it a flexible base for a night at the football, a work trip, or a short break exploring the city.

What guests say
Arrived here to see there are road closures 8am-1pm in the morning. Staff not informing guests. When I asked about contingency plans as this wasn't mentioned at booking, the staff looked at me like I was speaking another language. Cannot believe the attitude and approach of this hotel to us being trapped in their car park in the morning (which you get the joy of paying extra for) for multiple hours. The closures are not their fault but the attitude and lack of both communication and planning for guests is outrageous. I informed as many guests as I saw about the closure to allow them to prepare and get up early in the morning to escape. None had been told by staff. Says a lot about the attitude of management and staff. Really, really poor. Also, no air con so avoid in summer too unless you like to sleep in a sauna.

Such a shame as the hotel was lovely. The rooms nice yet the manager and some staff treated my partner terribly. We had fri and sat night booked. But then booked another night for Sunday. Where i assumed as i paid for 3 nights usually i just stay in same room or just move to another room. Yet the manager of hotel decided to remove my belongings and Wouldn't let my partner check in until 3 from check out at 12 which i find disgusting. The worst part of all is my partner knew all details of booking yet they were only asking about parking which had no relevance to the booking if my partner drives. They never once asked partner for booking details. Finally I got in touch and they quizzed me over phone asking so many questions and treating my partner disrespectful as making me say exactly the details that she could had said. An employee had collected our packed bags our personal things. They finally check my partner i. At 3 to new room Only to find that the lights wasn't working so I come home from work at 6 and checked out immediately as this kind of treatment is totally unacceptable and common sense needs to be thought as a paying customer for 3 nights whether it's separate booking or not shouldn't have bags packed and made to wait 3 hrs before allowed go to new room. And there excuse was someone prebooked room we were in fri and sat yet that room was the furthest room from entrance and to add insult the hotel car park was empty sunday so lots of empty rooms and they still felt necessary to cause this distress to me and my partner.

What an awful experience. My stay was disappointing. The first room I was assigned had a very strong urine-like smell coming from the carpet, which was unpleasant enough that I had to request a room change. Additionally, the housekeeping service was inconsistent. Despite hanging the sign requesting fresh towels on the door handle, the towels were not replaced as requested.

Should of learnt a lesson from last year at Heathrow , what I can only describe as dot cottons disabled room. However, Gave travelodge (pride park) a second chance , bad move. Incompetence staff , pre paid for room and breakfast. Was told on arrival I had to pay extra for breakfast which I did. Found email proving already paid for breakfast, asked for refund and was told by member of staff that they were too busy to refund me. Had 2 x pints of Guinness and was sick, then saw two members of staff arguing about the Guinness because the cans were out of date. The room must of been cleaned by Steve wonder because the cobwebs and stains were everywhere. 5 am , woken up by traffic noise outside. Not had said breakfast yet and don’t think I’ll bother. Avoid this hotel and travel lodges across the country, never again.
