The Derbyshire Dales are within easy reach of Bakewell and its market, limestone valleys ideal for walking, and a cluster of villages each with their own character. Barnes Cottage sits in Youlgrave itself, a few minutes' walk from the post office and local pubs. The cottage is yours alone—a stone property that has kept its original features while gaining a properly equipped kitchen with electric range and dishwasher, a woodburning stove in the living room, and heating throughout.
Upstairs are two bedrooms: a king in one room, two singles in the other. The bathroom has a bath with shower over it. Downstairs, the kitchen opens into a dining and living space with a Smart TV and CD player. A courtyard at the front has seating and a garden table. One car can park on site. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen, towels and the wood for the stove are all included. The cottage does not permit smoking.
This works well for couples or families with children; a travel cot and highchair are available if needed. One well-behaved pet is welcome. You'll find the countryside—proper walking territory—starting at the village edge.
