Damsels Bower

Derbyshire Dales

Damsels Bower is a converted limestone barn set in Over Haddon, a medieval village within the Peak District National Park. The building retains period character with high vaulted ceilings and a galleried layout; one of the three bedrooms overlooks the open-plan living and kitchen space below. The property sleeps five across a double bedroom with ensuite, two further bedrooms, and two bathrooms. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included.

The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and washing machine. The ground floor holds the main living area with Smart TV and DVD player, plus a dining space, while a lawned garden with seating faces onto the courtyard. One car can be parked in the opposite car park. A pub serving food stands within a mile of the property, and the market town of Bakewell—with shops and restaurants—is two miles away. No smoking inside the cottage; one dog is welcome.

The location makes it a base for exploring the surrounding hills and valleys. Lathkill Dale Nature Reserve sits on the edge of the village, and walking begins directly from the property. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are both reachable in around fifteen minutes by car. The Monsal Trail, a traffic-free cycle route towards Buxton, lies four miles distant.
