Eyam sits at the heart of the Hope Valley, within walking distance of one of Derbyshire's most historically significant villages. The famous Plague Village attracts visitors year-round, with information boards dotted through the lanes, Eyam Hall to explore, and tea rooms and craft workshops to browse. Bakewell is fifteen minutes away by car, Castleton another fifteen in the other direction, and both offer markets, independent shops and restaurants. The surrounding countryside is made for outdoor activity—cycling routes, walking trails, horse riding and climbing are all close by.

Eyam View Cottage is a Grade II listed stone building dating from 1820, set in a courtyard garden with a sitting-out area and barbecue. Inside, three bedrooms sleep five: two doubles and a single bed. There is one bathroom with a shower over the bath. The living room centres on an open fire (initial fuel included), and the dining room and kitchen are separate spaces. The kitchen has a gas cooker, dishwasher and microwave, with essentials like bed linen, towels and wifi included. Parking for five cars is available on site, with garage storage too. One well-behaved dog is welcome at no extra cost. The property sits within 20 acres of grounds with fields and pasture, and is non-smoking throughout.

What a beautiful cottage!!! In the heart of Derbyshire peak district, you could not have asked for a better situated cottage. The cottage is very comfortable, and the Nespresso machine was a nice touch. The Bedrooms are beautiful, with great quality linen! Why just good rating? No doggy treats or scones in the welcome pack :( but still a nice fruit cake was provided. A gate to simply close so we could let the dog out for a wee with out venturing into the somewhat spooky and dark courtyard at night would have been really handy (Its very eery and secluded there at night, a security light on the side door would be a nice feature) the shower was very inconsistent, and could do with updating and the tv’s desperately need modernising + the DVD player was missing a lead so does not work! Yes, the Peak District is about walking and out doors but who does not like to relax to nice film now and again? Overall a beautiful clean and comfortable cottage, a lovely host who we met very briefly.... just a few tweaks here and there and this could be a gem! :)
