Pine Door

Derbyshire Dales

Pine Door comes ready for a self-catering break in Eyam, a village in the Derbyshire Dales. The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms—a double and two singles—with one bathroom. What arrives with you matters: electricity, wifi, bed linen, towels and wood for the burner are all included, so you can settle in without shopping first. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge-freezer, letting you cook anything from a quick supper to a full roast. A wood burner heats the main living space, and there's a smart TV and PlayStation 4 if you want to unwind indoors.

The cottage is four centuries old, with original stone floors, exposed beams and fireplaces still in place, but it's been refurbished throughout. Downstairs is one open room for sitting and eating, opening through an external door to a rear yard. Upstairs, the larger bedroom overlooks neighbouring fields towards Eyam Edge. Both bedrooms are bright, and the bathroom was refitted recently with a walk-in shower. Outside, a south-facing garden with patio and furniture gives you a quiet corner to sit. One dog can stay free. The village has shops, tea rooms and a pub within a mile. No smoking inside.
