Heather House is a detached stone cottage in Bakewell, a market town at the heart of the Peak District. The property has two bedrooms—a king and a zip-and-link twin—one bathroom, and a separate toilet on each floor. Downstairs there are two reception rooms, a kitchen with electric range and dishwasher, and direct access to a large enclosed garden with terrace, summerhouse and garden furniture. Parking is available on site for one car.
The essentials are covered: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi. Bakewell itself has independent shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants within a short walk, and hosts a farmers' market plus events including the annual show and well dressings. The Monsal Trail, a traffic-free route for walking and cycling, is accessible from the former Bakewell station about ten minutes uphill. Buxton, Matlock, Castleton and Chatsworth Estate are all within 30 minutes by car or on foot. The property is for couples, families and holidaymakers only; children must be 10 or over.
