Little Hoot

Baslow sits on the edge of Chatsworth Estate in the Peak District, with walks to Chatsworth Park, Birchen Edge and Yeld Wood starting from the property itself. The village has a shop, tearooms and pubs serving food; Eyam and Bakewell are each about 10 minutes away by car, Matlock Bath 20 minutes, and Buxton half an hour. For a different kind of day out, Alton Towers is roughly 50 minutes' drive.

Little Hoot is a one-bedroom cottage on the ground floor, accessed up 16 steps. The open-plan living space has a kitchen with electric oven, induction hob and microwave; a dining area with a 32-inch TV; and a living area opening onto a large roof terrace with garden furniture. The bedroom has a four-poster king bed, and there is a shower room. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The terrace has gates leading directly into mature woodland—the main reason to stay here if you want to walk into the Chatsworth landscape from your breakfast table.
