The Old Mill Annexe
Derbyshire Dales
The Old Mill Annexe is a detached stone cottage for two people, positioned beside the River Dove on the edge of Hartington. The layout is straightforward: downstairs holds a kitchen with electric cooking and a separate shower room; upstairs, a living room with a television and DVD player sits alongside a bedroom with a kingsize bed. Essentials like electricity, heating, wifi, bed linen and towels are included, along with on-site parking for one car.
Outside, you have access to a sitting area with garden furniture and a shared lawned garden where a restored mill wheel—remnant of the original corn mill once operated here—still stands. A pub lies within a mile on foot. The Peak District surrounds you, which means serious walking and cycling country, though note there is an unfenced river in the garden, and the property does not suit children under 12. Hartington village itself offers a cheese maker, village store, cafés and further pubs; within half an hour's drive are Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Bakewell and other Peak District attractions.
