What a lovely find. The site had such a chilled vibe, not too big, a great location for Bakewell and Buxton, a walkable pub but also really enjoyable to stay on site. The children loved it due to the ponies and Pickle the chicken! A great bit of field for ball games away from the camp set ups and walking the dog. Pitch was large and relatively flat, plenty of space for our VW and large awning and spare car. The facilities were always spotless when you went in. Our stay was made by the site wardens who looked after everybody brilliantly. They included the children with the animal up keep and manned a superb horsebox cafe/bar. No negatives, really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely return. Also, the 11 year old was thrilled with the wifi access as there are boosters all around the site!

What a lovely camper site. I stayed in the yurt for a week and it's was super clean. The staff were amazing and any issues were never to much even 10pm at night. Would definitely recommend anyone wanting to camp or stay in the yurt or the small apartment they have at the site. Will definitely come back at some point in the future. My dog Nellie loved it and really nice to have a private hot tub, garden, toilet and BBQ area.

Had a lovely stay here in our campervan on a hard standing pitch, and would definitely come back. The shower and toilet facilities were spot on - always really clean, warm and private. The little horse box bar was a great touch, serving really reasonably priced drinks on an evening, then coffees and pastries in the morning. There was a fish and chip van on the Saturday night as well. We didn't end up trying it, but it was great to have the option if you fancied it. Also an onsite shop selling essentials as well as local meat. The campsite itself was really quiet and peaceful (even on a weekend, fully booked), which was just what we were after. The dog walking field was a massive bonus for us as dog owners - loads of space for our dog to have a proper run about. We also really appreciated the welcome pack. As first-time visitors, it was a really nice touch, especially with the local walk and food/pub recommendations. It made exploring the area really easy without having to do loads of planning. Check-in was dead easy, and everyone we came across was really friendly and welcoming. There always seemed to be someone around if you had any questions, which was reassuring and made us feel really welcome. It was ever so slightly on the pricier side for a pitch compared to some sites we've stayed at, but you can definitely see where the money goes. The facilities were excellent, everything was really well maintained, and the overall experience made it well worth it. All in all, a cracking campsite that had everything we needed. Can't fault it and we will definitely be back!
